Sky-Watcher BK 1309EQ2 is the classical Newton reflector telescope according to Sir Isaac Newton, a quite large instrument of its class. With the diameter of 130mm, you can find hundreds of objects in the sky! This size class offers an impressing efficiency for a beginner’s telescope: with the impressing diameter of 130mm, the mirror collects so much light (30% more than with 114mm diameter) that you can even see light deep sky objects highly detailed. The ring fog in the Lyra, for example, gets visible as a clear “smoke ring” or the Andromeda Galaxy appears in its full splendour as expanded celestial object. Concerning planet observations, you can reach magnifications up to 260x and the planet discs show up in impressing size. The EQ2 is a useful parallactic mounting with an outstanding price-performance ratio. Its stability provides some beautiful and enjoyable hours with your telescope under the impressing sky. It permits a fine adjustment in declination and right ascension axis and can be refitted with an electronic tracking motor drive (to compensate the earth rotation) which replaces exhausting manual tracking.
